A Wandering Nerd I Soon Hope To Be

I’m getting restless and I have come to the decision that after college I am packing a bag and heading to Europe. Well I’ll start with Europe and see where I end up. I have some friends in the UK but I don’t really know if I want to start there. If any of my readers have a suggestion about where to start or the best way to get around and see a bunch of Europe I would love your feedback. I will be back later this month to write a normal Freak of Nature post, it will be a review of a really creepy anime I’m in the middle of. Until then I would love some suggestions of where to go when I travel. Things to see that will make my little nerd heart flutter, interesting towns, good food, new cultures to explore, etc.

Paris is a great place to start. It’s central and most places are easy to get to from there. Sounds like a great adventure….enjoy!!

I would start with the UK and Germany, they’re usually two of the cheapest to fly into, but Paris can be good too. Getting around Europe is super easy and relatively cheap once you’re there. Tons of trains, and even flights are reasonable (sometimes ridiculously cheap, like 40 bucks one way). Good luck and have a super awesome time!

If you have time you should of course also visit CERN in Geneva Switzerland, it’s close to the border with Italy also a must visit if your tour is long enough, if you go to CERN it’s nice to make reservations for a tour a few weeks before you go there maybe earlier now that they’ve gotten all that attention about the higgs boson

It is very much on my to do list. Thanks for the tip about tours I will definitely look into it. Though if I go there my friends will be really jealous. ^_^

There are also quite some bloggers that have their daytime job their I don’t know if they are in your online friends circle but they are it would of course be really cool to get a personal tour from one of them

Unfortunately no. My friends across the pond are all located pretty much in Great Britain and Wales. I might possibly know someone who knows someone but not close enough to get a personal tour. That would be pretty cool though.
